Block of the Month

We hope to make Block-of-the-Month at Sunday Best as convenient for you as possible! You will have 2 weeks to pick up each block kit, and pick up dates will be posted on the website, on the handout you'll receive when you sign up and reminders will be posted in our newsletters.

You do NOT have to bring your completed block in order to pick up the next one in the series, just stop by anytime during the 2 week period and ask for your Block of the Month kit.  At any point in your project, let us know if and how we can help you!

Holly Lane
Begins August 17th

Holly Lane is a 6 pattern Block of the Month series with 5 delightful holiday houses and an easy pieced berry border. It's 63"x73". The kit includes a pre-printed accessory fabric packet for windows, signs, quilt, etc. and an accessory button packet to add extra details, such as mittens and poinsettia flowers.

A finishing kit and the binding are included with month 6's block kit,
but the backing is not included.

There is a $10 sign up fee
plus a kit fee of $23.95 per month for 6 months.

Homestead Hearth

For the 150-year commemoration of the American Civil War in 2011, Marcus Fabrics and Judie Rothermel partnered with Homestead Hearth to create a very special block of the month program. This quilt features Marcus' Civil War Tribute Collection designed by Judie Rothermel.

We've special ordered the fabric and you can use Sunday Best's
 HALF SQUARE TRIANGLE STENCIL to complete this quilt!! The result is a beautifully detailed quilt measuring a generous 100"x112",
divided into 12 monthly installments.

Each pattern also includes historical references about the corresponding battle and how it affected the lives of those left at home.  Battlefields were chosen to represent both the northern and the southern points of view.
Another special element is the addition of the source material
from actual Civil War diaries and letters.

$10 Sign-up fee

American Heritage

American Heritage is an 8-month block of the month
 in red, white and blue, from Bits n' Pieces.  It's 8 wall quilts sewn together into a  finished quilt is 75"x90" or you can finish each each one separately as mini quilts and table runners. Basic cutting and piecing skills are required.

$10 Sign-up fee
Plus $14.95 per month for 8 months.

Happy Halloween

A frighteningly adorable appliqué Halloween quilt from Amy Bradley Designs. Just for fun! We'll make 2 spooktacular blocks per month, ending in September, so you can be ready for Halloween 2010!
Completed Quilt will measure 56 1/2" x 66 1/2".
