Helping our Community

Supporting our community is important to us. With the help of some very special people, SBQ was able to forward a wonderful donation to FOCUS. Earlier this year, someone dropped off a donation at SBQ for the FOCUS thrift shop. Included among the items were a large number of brand new cross stitch patterns. With that person's permission, another SBQ friend took the cross stitch patterns to sell at area guilds. Leftover patterns were sold on eBay and those that went unsold were dropped off to be sold through the FOCUS thift shop. Because of the generosity of one and the efforts of another, and the kindness of those who purchased patterns knowing their money was going to a great cause, Sunday Best was able to forward donations totaling $738.09 to FOCUS.
This holiday season (and throughout the year) we hope you will consider donating gently used items to FOCUS for the thrift shop or making monetary donations that FOCUS can use to purchase food in bulk from the federal food bank. For more information about FOCUS and their mission to serve Harris county residents, visit their website at
www.FocusFriends.org.

August 2010: Donations for FOCUS
August 25, 2010 was National Second Hand Clothing Day and Sunday Best collected and donated clothing to FOCUS, a non-profit Harris County charity.

Together, with your help, we collected clothing, shoes, household items, and children's toys for the FOCUS thrift shop.

Funds collected from the sale of these items will be used to provide food and other necessities to Harris County families.
